Families are loosing their loved ones to drug addiction in rapid numbers. Whether it is to jail, death or a drug treatment center they are leaving their children and spouses behind.
It is not only the drug abusers problem it is also the families problem. This is unfortunate but it is very real.
The University of Pennsylvania Health System states that one out of every three families in the United States has an addicted family member and one out of every four American adults has some type of addiction. Addiction in a family can lead to toxic behaviors and dysfunctional relationships. According to the Partnership for a Drug Free America, drug abuse can have devastating consequences on families.
