Enabler

Are you an enabler?  Someone that enables another to drink and/or do drugs are normally good people thinking they are doing the right thing.  In contrary it’s one of the worst things you could possibly do when dealing with a drug addict.  Many times giving them money for food, shelter, car, use of cell phone and other things are used for the commission of drug related activity and drug use.  Not doing these things may make the enabler feel like they are the bad person but in reality it’s the right thing to do.  Making the drug addict realize what they are doing by taking things away may be the first step to getting them the help that they desperately need.

There is often a guilt associated with enabling that may make the enabler unable to stop.  Take control and make yourself stop.  Think of it as you are helping not hurting.  Drug abuse can be stopped and it takes one person to help make that step to sobriety, make sure you are that person.  Call today for information.
