Plain and Simple, Meth is for Fools

By now, if you have been following me and the many articles I have written on drug use, abuse and addiction, you should either feel like you are well informed or you are just overwhelmed information. Well, whether you feel informed or overwhelmed with information that’s a good thing and I am doing my job. You see, my job is research, information, education and articulation. What I mean is I research drug use, abuse and addiction. Then I gather all the information and try to articulate it in such way that anyone can be informed and educated on the dangers of drug abuse, the current developments, trends and the methods of recovery and rehabilitation that are available for users and their family and friends. It is not easy but it is rewarding to know that the information I have compiled may be the key to someone breaking the vicious cycle of addiction. Of all the drugs I have researched and wrote about I must say that in my opinion, there is none more deadly and psychologically addictive then Methamphetamines.

Crystal, Crystal Meth, Crank, Speed, Ice, on city streets, country roads or suburban boulevards methamphetamines wreak havoc where ever it is found. This infamously deadly drug has destroyed countless lives for over fifty years now. And although statistically its use is declining, methamphetamine abuse still exists and is still taking lives. Those who have been strong and fortunate enough to break the methamphetamine vice grip are still suffering the after affects of the devil drug. Both young people and adults have been permanently psychologically disabled by Methamphetamines. Even those who have used moderate amounts and have used for a very short amount of time have suffered psychological damage. Methamphetamines have been attributed to several physical, psychological, and social development problems. Long term users “will” become addicted; there is no doubt about that. As I have said before in a previous article methamphetamine is an equal opportunity addiction and killer. It makes no distinction between color, race, creed, economic or social class or status. This drug has addicted and killed lower, middle and upper class Americans. It has I filtrated just about every nook and cranny of America.

Methamphetamine has destroyed countless families. It has placed children in foster care and in prison. Foster care populations have grown due to the use of this drug. And once the children of methamphetamine addicts enter the foster care system it has been reported that less than a third of meth addicted parents ever get their children back. This is a very sad reality because this will only contribute to an already overwhelmed foster care system where many children will never know the joy of a real family atmosphere.

Methamphetamine is in this writers opinion, the most addictive and dangerous drug out. If you are in its presence ever leave immediately and do not be fooled by a user’s reports of the euphoric feeling you get when high off methamphetamines. Avoid methamphetamines in whatever form you discover it at all cost. Methamphetamines have destroyed lives and communities. Not only is using the drug deadly but being exposed to the chemical ingredients used in the manufacturing of methamphetamines can be toxic and deadly. These chemicals are extremely hazardous and potentially explosive. Chemicals such fertilizers, lithium and dyes are combined to make this poison and make shift meth labs have been found in just about every part of America.

I have already written in previous articles of the cost of law enforcement, drug treatment and the medical the cost. This drug has been described by some as a “perfect storm” drug because of it’s across the board complete destructive capability. The Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) has reported progress in the war on methamphetamines. Today the costs to clean up the meth labs they find have dropped considerably. From an approximate $7000 per lab to $ an approximate 1500 to $3000 to clean up each meth lab discovered, law enforcement and drug awareness seems to be working. But we have a long way to go still because the jails, the mental health facilities and drug rehabs and cemeteries are still admitting in new cases of methamphetamine abusers every day. Directors and drug counselors like those at Narconon have reported that methamphetamine addicts are some of the most difficult cases of drug recovery they have ever had because the drug is so psychologically addictive. It seems to take a hold of the mind and literally, in many cases, won’t let go. The psychological effects of methamphetamine abuse are all too often permanent in many cases. Some people just will never fully recover mentally and the physical damage done to the mouth and overall health of the user may be irreparable as well.

Remember, one taste of this drug and your life as you know it is over. Everything you do will be for this drug. After a while you will never feel the same feeling of pleasure you experienced when you first begun using it. You will lose all your dignity and inhibitions. You will risk your life with crazy uninhibited sexual behavior and possible contract Sexually Transmitted Diseases like Herpes or even HIV. As a matter of fact, methamphetamines have been attributed with the progression and the spread of HIV. But if you don’t believe me then check out websites like www.gmhc.org and www.methlife.org and get as much information as you need.

Are you convinced yet? Methamphetamine is a fools drug. And you will feel like a fool when you finally discover that the meth high is a lie and you are can’t stop without help. But by the time you finally “get it” it may be too late. Don’t risk your life. If you have never used it don’t try it. Don’t experiment with it at all. If you are using occasionally STOP NOW. Drink plenty of water, STOP EATING JUNK FOOD and STOP DRINKING SODAS AND SUGARY JUICES. Start eating healthy meals, brush your teeth and rinse your mouth out regularly with a non-alcoholic mouth wash. And lastly, GET HELP! Don’t be a Meth Fool.
