Narconon of Georgia

When I got to this fine establishment January 23rd. I was an absolute mess.  I had given up on everything, I had a very serious addiction to Xanax.

By using the technology I’ve learned from the program I will never see the day the way I saw it on Jan 23rd.

Drug addiction is a very powerful thing which takes control of your entire life and sends you down a dark and lonely hole.
Narconon helps people overcome these addictions with education, sauna and counseling to help the addict and their family understand why someone is addicted.

I want to know how can someone can become dependent upon prescription drugs. My husband takes 26 different medications and 12 of them are controlled substances. He can quit taking them at any given moment but chooses not to in order to keep him in good health. If some people choose to abuse them then the doctor needs to make the decision to do a pill count when ever he deems necessary:
weekly, bi-weekly, monthly and do random drugs screenings. This can reduce the selling and abusing of any drugs.

Unfortunately there are many economic and social reasons why certain prescriptions are over prescribed. No one is suggesting not to take heart medication or blood pressure medication, however the simple fact is that long term use of most psychoactive substances ( like pain pills or anxiety medication ) will lead to dependence on the drug. Just because a drug is prescribed by a doctor does not mean that it is not addictive.
