Narconon Drug Rehab

The Narconon program assists clients to get in touch with their natural abilities and expand them.   One ability necessary for success is the ability to communicate with oneself, one’s fellows and the world around one.  When people use drugs, they can lose touch with the world around them to the point where they are not even in touch with themselves.    In order to make good life decisions, it is necessary to be alert and in tune with oneself and the world.  The Objectives step of the Narconon program helps bring about extroversion and alertness.   Here is a success story from a person as he progress through this step of the program:

Day 1  “While in class today I had what I felt was an important realization.  I don’t need or want drugs and alcohol to help me run away from reality, but rather, I want to be fully cognizant of it.  Moreover, not only do I not mind clear communication and being in my environment, but I actually look forward to closer communication with others.  I want to see reality as it is, rather than try to twist it with evasion and unconsciousness.  For happiness can be defined, at least in part, as being in clear connection with reality.  Narconon is teaching me that.  And being in touch with reality is a requirement for our survival as sentient and efficacious beings.”

Day 2  “Today in class I realized as I was beginning to feel impatient and restless, I had an insight into my drinking behavior.  I realized that used to eventually go off the wagon because I lose patience with staying sober.  This has been a general pattern in my life where impatience and frustration led me to give up and throw in the towel.  I used to ask myself. “What’s the point in trying so hard?”  I realize that this type of rationalization I used to pick up a drink, is not my current state of mind.”

Day 3  “Today I really tested my ability to stay focused and be patient.  I feel that I passed the test and that I can draw upon this experience during those times in my life where I might be tempted to relapse.  This exercise gave me a sense of increased focus, calm and serenity for which I am grateful.”

Day 4 “I feel great and ready to move onward and upward – To infinity and beyond!!  Physically, spiritually emotionally and mentally, everyone seems to be in synch and running on all cylinders.  It’s as if there is no limit to life’s possibilities.

The success of day 4 sums up what Narconon wants its clients to learn – There are no limits to life’s possibilities!
