Anyone who has worked in the field of addiction for any time at all can appreciate the frustration of knowing that sometimes drug tests are tampered with or falsified by clients through the use of products that are easily purchased online.

Anyone testing a client or family member for heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine, Oxycontin or any other drug of abuse is simply trying to help keep the individual safe. The ability to cover up a drug addiction can be fatal and indeed, someone died in recent years in Atlanta, passing his drug tests all the time. The newspaper article, which covered the story, explained that his parents thought that he was clean the entire time, only to find out too late, that he was fudging his tests. The money that could have been used for drug rehab was spent on the funeral.

These products are almost as bad as the drugs and they should be banned.

State Rep. Jeff Roorda has introduced a bill that would make it a felony to possess chemical kits, devices like the Whizzinator (an artificial penis that can be filled with ‘clean’ urine), and other products intended to fool blood, urine, saliva, hair, or fingernail testing for the presence of alcohol or other drugs.
The bill would make sales of such products a misdemeanor.”
