Huntsville, Al is giving their community awareness during a 1 day summit that includes lectures from individuals who themselves had a drug addiction to one drug or the other.  It will give residents an opportunity to learn and ask questions about many different drugs and alcohol.  How to talk to someone who you think is addicted to something is also an option.

This year’s one-day event, designed to raise awareness of the multi-faceted problems associated with substance use and abuse while strengthening healthy attitudes and ultimately achieving positive behaviors, will include 18 panel sessions and a keynote lecture on a wide range of topics.

Since drug abuse is on the rise, summits like these are popping up all over the country in efforts to combat the growing drug abuse problem.  It’s time to help your family, your neighbor, your children’s friends.  There is an end to drug addiction and awareness is key.
