Cocaine in Pregnancy

Cocaine in Pregnancy

Cocaine use in pregnancy can result in many different birth problems up to and including death.  Some of the most common complications are low birthweight, premature birth and smaller head size.  Other complications due to cocaine abuse in pregnancy is severe brain damage and death.   They also do not respond well to many tests given to newborns at birth that include voice recognition.

Many children that are born with a drug addiction to cocaine are more likely to become a drug addict later in life.  This trend needs to be stopped before more babies die and become drug addicted themselves.  Call drug rehab for free information or advice on how to help yourself or a loved one.
